I have recently found there is an issue with the latest version of the Teradici PCoIP Zero Client firmware 3.5.0 and View 5.0 during a deployment. This affected all users connecting from zero clients both the Wyse P20 and the Dell FX100 (in theory also any other PCoIP zero clients), causing a black screen when logging onto a View desktop followed by being returned to the View Client login screen.
Looking at the sessions in View Administrator you can also see the user logged onto a desktop in the pool, but it is now disconnected. Trying to reconnect fails with the same issue.
The solution to this issue was to disable the display from going into power saving mode in the Windows 7 virtual machine master images. I thought this was already done as part of my optimisation script but no (note need to add that).
This is a temporary workaround suggested by Teradici, and technically it can stay in place with no affect once this is bug is rectified. However Teradici are working on a solution for this.
For more information there is a technical support article from Teradici:

Teradici's tech support website has the recommended workaround listed at the top of its support page for this issue.
