When configuring networking on an ESX/ESXi server it is important that you plan and configure it correctly.
Doing so will ensure you get the best reliability, performance and security within your virtual network.

Depending on your requirements the configuration will vary slightly. For example if network storage such and iSCSI and NFS will be used the setup will need to plan for this.
I will explain the different setups for these needs.

I'm trying to blog some of the random little things that have come across in the last few months/weeks, in hope it will help others.

 

Of those random things that occured was trying to run the vSphere Agent Pre Upgrade Checker, that is part of the pre installation steps of upgrading vSphere.

The problem was when running the AgentUpgradeChecker.exe I was getting the following error message:

"AgentUpgradeChecker has encountered a problem and needs to close."

VMware View Composer 2.5 is a component of View 4.5 Premier Edition only (it is NOT available in the Enterprise Edition).
